I have always been inspired by the legend of the 100 butterfly scroll and imagined the multicolored butterflies spiraling up. I set the challenge of creating my own painting of my mind’s image. There are 36 butterflies in the painting, all based on real butterflies from around the world. I worked on the painting for three days. When painting on paper mounted on a scroll, you cannot make a mistake!
